I'm an amateur astronomer who enjoys keeping things relatively simple. My telescope is a shop-built 10" Dob and I like to track down deep space objects by star hopping with nothing but charts, my eyeballs, and my hands.
This site is for the sporadic posting of observing notes and is liable to include the odd book or music review, or account of a wilderness hike or a vacation. It is also for sharing my telescope building, modifications and other observing tools for fellow amateur telescope makers.
